Your honey lips of cherry red caress
my mind with passion. They sweep me in strong
waves of molasses streams that tightly press
my heart into a serenading song.
Like evanescent echoes of a shrill
and piercing shriek, the world calls back to me,
as if I could awaken from love's will.
I vanish in the sweetness of a sea,
an ocean of pure fancy born of mind.
Yet, I would drown in it a thousand times,
for at least I drown with you. So enshrined
in beauty, I lose all sense of what chimes
of truth and what of fiction, for I fear
the facts of life, where you are never near.
